Dermatologist in Vienna – Individual and Comprehensive Dermatological Care
As a dermatologist in Vienna, it is important to me to provide my patients with comprehensive and individualized care. At my practice near Vienna Central Station (Wien Hauptbahnhof), I take the time to understand each patient’s individual needs and circumstances.
I follow a simple principle: I want to treat and support my patients in the same way I would want my own family to be treated.
Training and Medical Background
I completed the majority of my specialist training in dermatology at the Department of Dermatology, Venereology and Allergology at the Medical University of Innsbruck in Austria. Further stages of my training and professional career took me to various medical institutions in Austria and abroad, including Ege University Hospital in İzmir, Turkey. Working in different hospitals, countries and healthcare systems has allowed me to gain experience across a particularly broad spectrum of dermatology and to incorporate different diagnostic and therapeutic approaches into my daily practice.
General and Surgical Dermatology
This versatility remains especially important to me today. In addition to general dermatology, I have a particular interest in dermatologic surgery. Even before beginning my specialist training in dermatology, I gained experience in general surgery as well as plastic and reconstructive surgery. Dermatologic surgery and the precise surgical treatment of skin lesions are therefore areas of my work that I find particularly rewarding.
Evidence-Based and Individualized Care
To me, medicine means continuous learning. Driven by both personal and scientific curiosity, I continuously engage with current scientific evidence, new diagnostic methods and modern treatment options in dermatology. My aim is to combine evidence-based medicine with an individualized approach and to work together with my patients to find treatments that are both medically sound and suited to their personal circumstances.
Looking Beyond the Skin
Skin conditions often affect more than just the skin. Chronic or visible skin diseases in particular can have a significant impact on personal well-being and quality of life. For this reason, alongside providing high-quality dermatological treatment, I believe it is equally important to see and understand the person behind the condition.
To support my patients as comprehensively as possible in this regard, I began the PSY Diploma in Psychosocial Medicine offered by the Austrian Medical Chamber in September 2026. This postgraduate training focuses particularly on the interplay between physical illness, psychological stress and a person’s social environment, enabling me to integrate these aspects even more closely into patient care.
My Areas of Dermatological Interest
In addition to general and surgical dermatology, my particular clinical interests include:
- Skin cancer screening and dermoscopy
- Chronic inflammatory skin diseases
- Infectious skin diseases
- Hair and nail disorders
- Diagnosis and treatment of pruritus (itching)
