Dr. Yvonne Ferenci, Dermatologist

From the beginning of my studies, my ambition was to work in the field of dermatology. Nevertheless, because a variety of medical conditions must be considered when diagnosing skin diseases, it was important for me to gain a wide range of medical knowledge. I acquired this knowledge during my preparation as a general practitioner and enhanced it with additional training. My ÖAK diplomas for acupuncture and nutritional medicine allow me to offer fully comprehensive treatment to all my patients. Working in the nursing sector during and after my studies granted me a wider perspective in my subsequent role as a dermatologist. During this time, I acquired a deeper understanding of wound care management. My patients and I still benefit from this interdisciplinary experience.

Successful care does not only consist of diagnosis and treatment, it is also important to respond to your questions, needs and concerns. My work in psychosomatic medicine at Charité Berlin helped me to meet demands in this area too.

A six-month volunteer position in a small mountain village in Kenya shaped not only my professional development, but my personal one too. During that time, I learned a huge amount about basic medical care, and also about daily life in a completely different environment.

I am excited to bring my knowledge and experience to our practice in Vienna, and to care for you in line with the practice philosophy.
