Dr. Alma Sabic
Dermatologist
After completing my medical studies at the Medical University of Graz, I began my professional career with training as a general practitioner, which I completed at several hospitals in Styria. I then worked as a radiology resident at the State Hospital in Leoben, where I gained extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in ultrasound diagnostics.
Over the course of my diverse clinical work, my interest in dermatology grew—a fascinating and dynamic field closely connected to many other areas of medicine.
I completed my specialist training in dermatology and venereology at the State Hospital in Wiener Neustadt, where I subsequently worked for a year as a senior physician.
Key areas of focus in my dermatological work include laser medicine, phlebology (venous medicine), and pediatric dermatology. By regularly attending professional congresses held by the German and Swiss laser societies, as well as through continuing education and clinical observerships—including at the laser outpatient clinic of the Vienna General Hospital (AKH), the University Hospital in Zurich, and Hautwerk in Zurich—I have been able to continuously expand my expertise in laser medicine. In May 2025, I completed an additional observership at the Vein Competence Center of the University Hospital of Lübeck to further deepen my knowledge in the diagnosis and treatment of venous diseases.
Another focus of my work lies in dermatologic oncology—particularly in skin cancer prevention and modern treatment approaches for chronic inflammatory skin conditions such as psoriasis and atopic dermatitis. During my time at the hospital in Wiener Neustadt, I was involved in the care of oncology patients, especially in the context of immunotherapies, targeted therapies, and the management of therapy-related side effects.
Ongoing education and professional development are essential to me—both in terms of medical knowledge and personal growth. My goal is to always work according to the latest scientific standards and to provide my patients with the best possible care. In addition to German and English, I also speak my native language, Bosnian.
Since April 2025, I have been supporting the team at "Medizin am Hauptbahnhof" as a board-certified dermatologist. A holistic approach, individualized treatments, and modern therapeutic methods are at the heart of my work—because my mission is to support people on their journey to healthy skin so they can truly feel comfortable in it.
